The Arcades all over Cardiff are really beautiful to walk around. A lot of them have alfresco dining with candles (very rare to see in the UK!) and wide variety of places to sit in for coffee or food. Some very nice shops as well.

Discovered this gem just before Christmas. Retro. Lively. Nicest coffee at the deli. Haberdashery. Cobblers. Jewellery merchants. Every nationality of cuisine known to man, including the pinnacle of Welsh culinary delight, The Welsh Cake. Always long queues, well worth the wait. Crowning glory is Kelly's record store on the upper level. All the shopkeepers were busy, but all took time to chat. The building itself is beautiful in an industrial, steampunk kind of way. Go. Spend the afternoon. Love it.
