Four of us arrived to celebrate a birthday - from the moment we stepped in the service was impeccable. One look at the menu and we all knew we were in trouble - so much choice how could you make up your mind what to have! We all chose different starters - pate, garlic tomato and basil soup, Thai spiced prawn tom yum broth and goats cheese and hazelnut cheesecake - all absolutely delicious- for mains we had sea bass, chicken, duck and boeuf bourginon - well seasoned so tasty and absolutely delicious and all piping hot. While we were eating we were asked several times if everything was ok and if we needed more drinks - they brought water to the table 3 times while we were there the service was so attentive. Only two of us could fit in a dessert - the most sublime vanilla panacotta - I would highly recommend the New Curiosity - what a gem of a place we will definitely be returning

Celebrated a birthday here and it was absolutely stunning. The food was outstanding as was the service and atmosphere. Highly recommended, pricing very reasonable for the quality of food/service received. Genuine compliments to the chef and establishment, have not had such delicious food in a restaurant for years and would definitely go again.

Sunday was our 3rd visit to New Curiosity (two adults and two 12 year olds) and it was once again superb. We all love it there. Not only is the food delicious but the portions are generous and the service by Rachel and team is friendly and warm. It is our favourite place to eat in Carmarthenshire. And a special mention to how good New Curiosity's gluten free options are. A very clever chef. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. A must visit.

Where do I start? The food was amazing, the atmosphere was so warm and relaxed and the service was so attentive with a smile from everyone. From Dan's amazing cooking to Rachel's impeccable customer service the whole evening was second to none. I would recommend to anyone that if you didn't have anywhere to go for the evening to check out the new curiosity as you won't be disappointed. I especially enjoyed the 10z sirloin!!! Well done The New Curiosity and well done to Rachel and Dan 👍👍👍👍👍👍and thankyou to the waitress this evening (sorry I can't remember her name) 😬

Phenomenal. Beautiful, warm and cosy atmosphere. Had been wanting to come here for some time and the whole experience exceeded my expectations. Every mouthful of food was exceptional, cooked to perfection and presented beautifully.

Wow what can I say I am so impressed by everything. Went here for my birthday on 17 March. I have multiple allergies and food intolerances so was nervous about going out to eat at a new restuarant. My husband booked via email and was emailed back a couple of times by Rachel about my diet. On the day Rachel and Dan had worked out a menu especially for my needs. I had the most amazing Sunday lunch. I was able to have mashed potato in a restuarant. I have not been able to do that for years. The food was amazing so nicely presented and lots of it. No attention to detail was left out. Thank you for a great birthday meal. We will definitely be back and will recomend to others.

We visited on Sunday 17th for my mother’s birthday, she has some dietary requirements and was really well taken care of. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent as was the service I would thoroughly recommend and will definitely go again.

Outstanding food! Beautiful restaurant and so lovely that you are not ushered out like other restaurants after a certain time. You feel that you are completely focused on for the evening and given full attention. We went as a team from work and the food was out of this world! We had heard great things about this restaurant and as we were staying in Carmarthen for a few days booked a table via email with Rachel the owner. We had a wonderful meal, great choice of dishes on offer, struggled to choose! Rachel and the other lady serving us were friendly and very professional. Great value meal for what was on offer and the wine was excellent too. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the belly pork. Lovely atmosphere, warm and cosy and tastefully decorated. Definitely recommend eating here to anyone wouldn't eat anywhere else. Next time we are in Carmarthen we will be booking a table again.

I recently dined at The New Curiosity with my wife and team from work and we had an exceptional experience. We all indulged in the 3-courses and each dish was simply amazing. The quality of the food was top-notch, and I was impressed by the flavors and presentation of each course. The staff at The New Curiosity were outstanding. Especially Rachel the owner and Manager, we found her to be very attentive, friendly, and provided excellent service throughout the meal. The professionalism and hospitality added to the overall dining experience. You could see they truly cared for their customers and wanted to make sure they had a good experience. We even go to meet Dan the owner and chef at the end of the night, which was lovely and he sat and spoke with us telling us all of his stories from when he started and how he became a chef. What stood out to me the most was the reasonable pricing for such high-quality food. The value for money at The New Curiosity is truly remarkable, considering the level of culinary excellence and service provided. Overall, I highly recommend The New Curiosity to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience with delicious food, exceptional service, and great value. It is definitely worth a visit!

I have just had Sunday lunch at this exceptional restaurant. As soon as I walked in I felt the warmth from the fire and was calmed by the tasteful decoration. The waitresses were courteous and efficient, and my meal arrived in a timely manner. I had chosen to have the main course only - roast chicken with no fewer than five vegetables (broccoli, carrots, red cabbage, swede and sprouts) and gravy. The meal not only looked bright and colourful, but also tasted delicious.

Absolutely amazing! Booked our table via email with Rachel and the communication was swift and easy. The food on the night was spectacular. The menu had enough variety without being overly complicated with options. The service and atmosphere were fantastic and it helped make my partners birthday even more special for her. First class restaurant and I would highly recommend.

Absolutely loved my night out here last night. The food was absolutely stunning, I had the lobster and I can honestly say it was the best meal I have ever tasted. The starter and dessert was also top quality 👌 The atmosphere was very relaxing and calm, and the place is beautifully decorated. It is also extremely clean, and the toilets were spotless and smelt beautiful. 10/10 for the service, atmosphere and food. So impressed and would highly recommend to others. Parking was also easy (within 2 minutes' walking distance) and we didn't have to pay as it was after 6pm. Thanks for a lovely evening 😊 xxxx

I was here on 30th Aug for property viewing and it was last min lunch. The place was a busy as it was a Sunday, i was very hungry & they kindly accommodated me. Rachel (hope i have got your name right) & the waitress was very kind to me and the food was super delicious! been a while I ate outside and this place delighted me!! I arranged a meal for my parents birthdays via email with Rachel the owner and cannot stress enough how fantastic she was at helping me arrange a special evening for my parents as I live in the US. My parents raved about the food, the service and the general atmosphere, 100% quality evening for them. Brilliant!

An absolute gem of a restaurant in every respect. Excellent and friendly service that makes you feel warm and welcome. The food is every bit as good with a wide range of options with fresh and top notch ingredients. The goat cheese and bread starters are not to be missed and the pork belly was the best I have had anywhere. Do yourself a favour and support this great local restaurant. You won’t be disappointed.

We went for my Dad's 80th birthday celebration. Rachel was absolutely fantastic helping with the organization and always very quick to respond. The evening went very smoothly due to Rachel and her staffs attentiveness and Rachel even sang happy birthday in Welsh for us. The food was absolutely delicious. I look forward to eating there again and highly recommend a visit! 20/10

18 of us had the 3 course Sunday lunch here last Sunday. Superb food and Service. 2 of us were Coelic, so, Gluten and Wheat free , no issues at all, brought out a specific menu to cater for then. Looking forward to the next time.
