The Erskine Arms

My husband and I opted for a short holiday in Wales and chose to go to Conwy. We chose the Erskine Arms based off reviews and it was even better than we expected. We had a large bedroom with a full bath. Plenty of electrical outlets, a kettle with an array of coffee and tea and plenty of extra blankets. The room remained a comfortable temperature with a radiator in the room - we opened and closed the window as needed. One of the best things about the Erskine Arms is the location. Once we parked, our car stayed parked until we left. We walked all over the town. The castle is literally right across the street. We enjoyed the short river cruise, ice cream at Parisella’s, sausage rolls from Edwards and spent time in a pub called The Albion. We dined at the Erskine Arms both nights and the food was outstanding. We also took advantage of the complementary Full Welsh breakfast each morning. I would fully recommend The Erskine Arms. You will not be disappointed.

stayed 2 nights in Y Capel -converted chapel accommadation adjoining the Erskine Arms - room really clean - warm - well furnished - breakfast plentiful- evening meals- good choice and decent ales too nb - be aware you can hear the church bells from the room- ear plugs may help with that

Go here if you want a cozy traditional English Pub with fires, Cask Coffee & Ale and also Legs that are pushed. They have liquor, but we tried a pineapple Cider, pulled from a Cask. I'm forever going to get anything pulled from a Cask. It is GOOD, cider, and I'm not a fan of Cider. We shared a rarebit and pepper soup and the Chips. All three are excellent! Try rarebit (sp), open faced grilled cheese, lots of stoneground mustard, give it a try, it's Welsh! It comes with a snack salad, it's nice. The soup also nice. I'll go here again.

Stayed in the chapel, first impressions amazing how they fitted the rooms in there, the communal area has you work in look great and very clean and cozy, room was clean and very nice, the Full Welsh Breakfast was lovely makes the starting of a good day, staff and very friendly.

The Erskine Arms is undoubtedly one of the best restaurants in Conwy. Every dish is crafted with exceptional skill and bursting with unique flavors. We had the pleasure of trying the pork belly, sea bass, and aubergine starter, and each was simply outstanding—beautifully presented, perfectly cooked, and full of depth. Beyond the incredible food, the service was warm, attentive, and efficient, adding to the overall charm of the experience. What’s even better is that, despite its popularity, there’s often availability without the need for advance booking, making it a fantastic choice for both spontaneous visits and special occasions. If you’re looking for a place that combines superb flavors, a welcoming atmosphere, and top-notch service, Erskine Arms is an absolute must-visit!

Stayed 1 night and a fabulous time we had. Room was great, clean and comfortable. Food in the evening was excellent along with the breakfast the following morning. Fast, hot and tasty on both occasions. Real ales were enjoyed by my husband along with a great atmosphere in the bar area. Great staff interaction both waiting on and bar staff. Fantastic service all round, Would highly recommend. Well done team

Lovely food and nice, warm atmosphere. Had a couple of meals there now. My partner really considers their fish and chips great. As a veggie myself they tend to have a couple of options on each part of the menu - both meals I've had there (mushroom and spinach wellingtong in first occasion and goats cheese and beetroot risotto tonight) were really tasty and satisfying.

Stayed at Y Capel , have to say very very beautiful room , the whole property is amazing, stay in hotels regularly in North Wales , I would put this as the best for me . Kind regards Quinn

We arrived on the day of the regional water outage which was supposed possibly going to be fixed that night. Nothing open in town. Staff at hotel were very nice, still served an excellent breakfast the next day (minus the tea and coffee), hotel is very nice. Sorry, I didn't get to sample anything at the pub (good selection of beers and a cozy place). Would go back (but not during a water outage).

A wonderful, traditional pub with beautiful rooms, great gastro pub food, and a very homely comfort.
