Super petit hôtel une literie au top nous sommes arrivés par le dernier train le personnel nous attendait elle nous prend les uns après les autres pour nous amener jusqu'au chambre pour nous expliquer de petits détails super service juste établissement ancien donc ne dispose pas d'aménagement comme ascenseur

Nice room and service. The hot water for the shower is a bit tricky to use, make sure to get a tutorial beforehand.

Room pleasant and very clean. I am a bit picky....not one Chanel works on the TV ..not a major issue.....was charged 180 pounds for one night . gave me a comfy bed and a shower for the night . But very noisy with delivery at 4am to co op opposite..ect.. slept on bathroom floor some quiet . super convenient location...young lady on reception very helpful....

This is a perfect stopover when getting a ferry from Mallaig. The staff were really helpful and friendly and the breakfast was super. Loved it.

Todo perfecto, atención de recepción muy amables. El bar tiene buenos precios. La habitación está perfecta para ir de paso, que es lo que hicimos nosotros. Un supermercado justo en frente. El puerto para coger el ferry al lado. Lo complicado es el aparcamiento, detrás de la gasolinera suele haber.

I am afraid the amount of intermittent noise in the single room which faces the inside of the building made it not work for me, I could barely sleep. The room itself is clean, the hotel is literally outside the station so well located. I'd suggest getting a room that doesn't face the inside of the building.

Cute little hotel right near the ferry, perfect for a trip to the Isle of Skye. The beds are very comfortable and the lady at reception is very friendly and helpful.

What a nice stay in this hotel. Super friendly staff, clean rooms, good bed, marvellous view over the sea, good coffee and excellent (big) breakfast with vegetarian option. Sometimes you cannot wish more !

Can't say enough good about our stay at the Marine Hotel. It is right in the center of town, so walkable to everything. Two minutes walk to the ferry port and the train station. Rooms were clean and comfortable. What really sets this hotel apart from most is the fact that it is family owned, and the service is amazing. We were met by Zoe, who went out of her way during our stay, and a couple of days later, to help and give advice on anything we might need. They also have a lovely bar area that is warm and welcoming. I would love to stay here over and over!

Great location right next to the train station and supermarket as well as very close to the pier. We had a wonderful room at the top floor. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Spotless room and bathroom. Complementary ear plugs on the bedside table (but not necessary since quite at night) kind ladies operation the reception. Directly located in the middle of the city, next to a bank, opposite of a supermarket and restaurants around the corner. 5 min walking distance from the ferry terminal and 3 min walking distance from the train station.

Tried to contact the Marine Hotel by email several times in September and October about a booking I had in September 2023, using the email address on their website (same as address as on the booking confirmation). It’s nearly December and I’ve still not had the courtesy of a response. They seem happy to take my money, but provide zero customer service thereafter. A place to avoid.

Staying at the Marine Hotel was, sadly, an experience that can only be described as wholly disagreeable. Despite the initial promise of a pleasant stay, the reality was a far cry from expectation. To start with, the hotel is enshrouded in a terrible environment. A palpable sense of discomfort perpetuated the air from the moment of arrival. The surrounding area is beleaguered with noise and disorder, creating a constant and unwelcome backdrop to the stay. It seems the location was neither well-thought-out nor well-executed, undermining any potential enjoyment. But the environmental issues were just the tip of the iceberg. The hygiene standards of the Marine Hotel were glaringly poor. From unkempt rooms to uncleaned communal areas, the lack of cleanliness was ubiquitous. It was evident that basic cleanliness standards were not being met, rendering every moment spent within the hotel’s confines a challenge. A sense of neglect pervaded every corner, suggesting a severe lack of concern for guests' well-being and comfort. Moreover, the sound insulation, or rather the lack thereof, was a persistent grievance. The seemingly paper-thin walls allowed every conceivable noise to permeate the rooms. Conversations from adjacent rooms, footsteps in the corridor, and even the faintest rustle were all clearly audible, disrupting any semblance of peace or privacy. This audial assault was incessant, turning nights into a symphony of disturbances and ensuring restful sleep was unattainable. To compound these issues, the staff seemed indifferent to the plethora of problems presented to them. Attempts to address concerns were met with apathy and inaction, leaving us feeling both frustrated and unheard. It was abundantly clear that guest satisfaction was not a priority at the Marine Hotel, further tarnishing the overall experience.

Clean, centrally located hotel. Friendly staff who helped us getting our bags up many flights of stairs. Good quiet sleep quality. We ordered a take out breakfast for 2 as our ferry left at 7.25. Unfortanetly we only receive a packed breakfast for 1. That was the only neg point.

A beautifully decorated room in a lovely hotel perfectly positioned for the Skye ferry and exploring Mallaig! Friendly and very helpful staff too and a great bar underneath!

Abbiamo trascorso una sola notte in questo hotel arrivando con l'ultimo traghetto della sera, ci siamo trovati bene. Non avevamo la colazione compresa quindi non posso esprimere parere in merito. Il parcheggio è sotto l'hotel, ci sono numerossisimi locali dove mangiare, supermercato esattamente di fronte aperto fino alle ore 22, sportello bancomat sotto l'hotel e semplicemente la bellezza di un porticciolo di pescatori. Camera pulita, con dettagli curati e ogni piccolo confort. La ragazza che ci ha accolto è stata solare e carina accompagnandoci fino in camera, consigliandoci per la cena, liberandoci un parcheggio. Un paio di segnalazioni per i più delicati: pareti non molto spesse e locale aperto fino a tardi sotto l'hotel (con relativa gente che fuma e sosta fuori parlandone ridendo). Ma nulla che personalmente ci abbia disturbato.

Todo muy limpio. Buenas camas y una ubicación extraordinaria para el ferry, o para moverse por la zona. Muy,muy amables. Nos ayudaron con el ticket del ferry y con el sitio donde cenar. Para colmo, la chica de la recepción es española ,y no se puede ser más competente y resolutiva. Muchas gracias y enhorabuena
