Absolutely beautiful location and what is open to the public is really wonderful. However, it does leave you wanting more as the public access is only to a very small portion of the house. Would be fantastic to see the kitchens, servants areas, the boat house, the tunnel, the stables are occupied by an outdoor pursuits organisation as well as the port.

Lovely location on the Menai straight. Lovely grounds as well. The house is also very interesting with some fabulous paintings and interesting history. Well worth a visit

Great exploration for all ages. Gorgeous interior to the home. And the cafe was very good with friendly staff. Recommend the Welsh Rarebit. Clean. Safe and great play spaces for kids

Very nice here, lovely views and a nice walk around. Had lovely red boat ice cream served by a nice lad. Café could use more options on the menu as it was very limited with made to order foods, had a lot of ready made sandwiches - not a wide variety. There is a nice café in brynsiencyn on Foel Farm with lots of choices and you don’t have to be a farm customer to go there either. Lovely and kind staff. Lady at reception was very nice and good customer service skills.

Absolutely stunning place. We didn't go inside the house as we had the dog with us. We enjoyed a wander around the grounds. Highly recommend visiting if you are in the area.

Very interesting NT property with superb views over the Menai Straights. House itself would merit 4 stars but for some better interpretation boards/leaflets. Cafe was warm and pleasant but had run out of almost everything - and prices were typically outrageous (£4.60 for a ‘luxury’ hot chocolate is ruinous for a family of 4). Marked down for the lack of any EV charging facility in an area where chargers are already scarce. Come on NT, even just a 13A socket is better than nothing!

Excellent help from staff as I tried to steer my enormous but highly strung lurcher/rottweiler cross through reception today - and they even offered to open the side gate. Definitely 5 stars for customer support, thank you.

Fantastic old manor with tons of history, there's a painting in the long gallery which will blow your mind, the staff and volunteers are really helpful.

Beautiful house, in a stunning location. Plenty to see and do with or without kids. Can highly recommend the pasties from the café. Sadly we didn't catch a glimpse of a red squirrel.

A tale of two halves. The garden and grounds are fantastic - location is beautiful. Didn't see any red squirrels but the potential to see one keeps things exciting! Sadly the house needs an injection of enthusiasm and life - it was pretty dull - so much more could be made to provide a modern interpretation of the house's history. Didn't get any sense of what it was like to live and work there or stories of the people in the many portraits. There is surely something in the archives to give visitors a unique insight?

Beautiful place in the banks of the Menai Straights. Interesting house to walk around with some amazing paintings - if you like art certainly worth a look. Beautiful grounds with plenty of walks. Great for families with kids, as well as older people as the pathways are easily accessible for all. Great for dog walkers too! Check out the Red Boat ice cream, it is delicious with lots of unusual flavours, treat yourself!! Do go along and visit it really is beautiful!
