Stayed here for 3 nights in July with a few friends and had the best time. The grounds are stunning, there are great walks from the house and of course we BBQ'd/played tennis/swam in the pool every day.
You're perfectly positioned between the gower for beach days & good surf as well as the Brecons for bigger hikes. Saying that the local walks are just as good.
There are several pubs nearby, our favourite was the butchers arms in Pontardawe. But if you don't want to go out to the pub, don't worry there is literally a pub in the grounds complete with a woodem bar, pool and table tennis. You just need to bring the beers!
