Rossini Art Site

Museum | Briosco | Lombardia | Italy

The "Rossini Art Site" in Briosco is an open-air museum that focuses on abstract sculptures and houses one of the most significant collections of this kind in Italy. It covers an area of 10 hectares and is situated on the hills of Brianza, in the green heart of the Lambro Valley. The park was created by entrepreneur and art patron Alberto Rossini, who wanted to share his passion for art with the public.

Collection and artists

The collection includes works by internationally renowned artists such as Pietro Consagra, Bruno Munari, Giò Pomodoro, Fausto Melotti, Andrea Cascella, and Grazia Varisco. These artists represent various trends in abstract art and contribute to the diversity and depth of the collection.

Architecture and landscape

An outstanding architectural element of the park is the entrance pavilion, designed by New York architect James Wines. This building harmoniously integrates into the natural surroundings, combining art, architecture, and landscape into a unique experience.

Visitor experience

The park offers visitors the opportunity to experience a variety of sculptures amidst nature. In addition to the artworks, visitors can observe a small pond fed by spring water, as well as animals such as wild rabbits, ponies, horses, and donkeys. The vegetation mainly consists of native trees such as oaks, hazelnuts, and hornbeams, contributing to the authentic atmosphere of the park.

The "Rossini Art Site" is therefore a significant place that combines art, nature, and architecture, offering visitors a unique experience.
