The "Museo della Cultura Contadina di Colico" is an ethnographic museum in Colico, Province of Lecco, dedicated to preserving and presenting the rural culture and traditions of the region. It was founded in 2007 on the initiative of the Centro Italiano Femminile of Colico, to convey knowledge about the life of the rural population until a few decades ago.
Collections and Exhibitions
The museum is divided into two floors:
First floor: Here, a traditional living environment is reconstructed, providing insights into the domestic life of the rural population.
Lower floor: This floor houses collections documenting various aspects of rural life:
Agriculture: Tools and equipment for agriculture, livestock farming, winemaking, and cereal cultivation.
Crafts: Exhibits on leather processing, blacksmithing, and wool processing.
