Alessandro Manzoni in Lesa: After his second marriage to Teresa Borri, Manzoni moved to Lesa where he spent the summer months. During his time at Villa Stampa, the current location of the museum, he wrote parts of his novel and engaged in lively exchanges with contemporaries such as Antonio Rosmini and Cesare Correnti.

Foundation of the Museum: The museum was opened in 1979 to commemorate Manzoni's stays in Lesa and preserve his literary legacy. It is located in the former Villa Stampa, where Manzoni resided during his time in Lesa.
