The "BBT-Infopoint" in Franzensfeste is an information center that introduces visitors to the major project of the Brenner Base Tunnel. The Brenner Base Tunnel is the longest railway tunnel in the world and is intended to provide a fast, direct connection between Austria and Italy, crossing the Alps. The Infopoint offers insights into the history, progress, and significance of the project on an exhibition area of 200 m².
Visitors can learn about the technical challenges of the BBT and the impact on the region, environment, and society. The Infopoint also includes a virtual tour and interactive exhibitions that illustrate the different phases of tunnel construction. Additionally, regular events and guided tours are offered to track the progress of the construction work and obtain detailed information.
