Absolutely nightmare of a restaurant. If you would like to have your dinner in a chaotic kindergarten / daycare setting, in a casino meets retirementhome facility, this is the place for you. Also hope you enjoy eating alone because everyone is getting their food at different times, no information from the staff about the waiting time.
Some of the staff were friendly and smiled as they passed your table for the 50th time with food that wasn't for you, but the hostess herself was pure misery incarnated as a human.

Tried you again as per your previous response and guess what….the same thing missing items! What a joke will not be ordering ever again and will be requesting a refund through uber eats! Do NOT order from here or do order if you want missing and less than average food!

We use Rookery Wood a lot for their Carvery, it is always consistent whatever time or day you go. The food is cooked lovely and kept warm and the meat is always tender and a good choice of vegetables . I took my Grandchildren on Wednesday evening and they loved it as always.

Love the food and the cakes here. Bryanne has been in the last couple of times I’ve visited and she has always been so polite, friendly and welcoming. Just wish rookery was closer to me as I’d be in everyday!!

Met a colleague here for breakfast.
Staff were friendly and helpful and very attentive.
The breakfast was self service and plentiful. It was well cooked and tasted nice.
Toast was available but only 1 toaster for use and no jam or marmalade which was a shame.
Was not rushed and had plenty of time for a relaxing chat.
The coffee was from a communal thermos and a coffee machine would be great.

Had Lauren serving us a few times now and we’ve had an amazing experience each visit. The food is always delicious, service is friendly from all staff, especially Lauren and the atmosphere is always warming as there are many sections spread out - especially from the kid section! Definitely recommended for all, and we will keep on coming back ☺️

We were allocated a table in the family area. The area is very sparsely furnished & freezing cold (we kept our coats on it was sooo cold). The restaurant advertises they have an indoor play area - which they do, but nothing but a few soft play blocks & a couple of coin operated machines. Our son took one look & came back to the table- very disappointing & depressing.
The table was dirty, the cutlery was dirty.
No atmosphere whatsoever, voices echo it’s so cold & empty.
The food was just as bad, inedible sausages - clearly frozen & overcooked. Burnt bacon. Black griddled lines on bread constitutes toast apparently. Everything was stone cold within a few minutes.
We won’t be going back that’s for sure!

First time here and as we walked in we saw an amazing carvery. Everything looked fresh and we witnessed it being freshly replenished as we dined.
May dining partner and I went forcthe fish and chips. Food came quickly. The fish was amazing, one of the best I've eaten in a restaurant but unfortunately the chips were luke warm and unappetising. Our complaint was dealt with quickly and with apologies.
The staff were lovely and a special mention to Molly who couldn't do enough. I've eaten in some fancy places and she could teach some waiting staff a thing or two.
