Brilliant heritage railway runs from kidderminster to bridgnorth Bewdley is a request stop only from around February to December lots of events available throughout the year toilets 🚻 on every station 🚉 lots of helpful friendly volunteers around small car parking space on every station paid or free with blue badge. Disabled access on every platform and trains the museum on the higley stop is brilliant lots to learn. Tickets prices okay needed for upkeep plus you get a free return trip in the same year brilliant for kids and adults alike we must keep these places open for the future 😀

The bad first:-
Only 1 of the car park ticket machines in Kidderminster worked, so there was a long queue to pay, approx. 15 minutes.
Despite buying tickets online you have to queue at the booking office to pick up your tickets, and the queue was so long that it took 25 minutes!
So if you're planning on catching a particular train, allow at least 40 minutes.
The quality of food and drink was good but the choice was limited, so take a packed lunch.

To the leadership team at SVR. Sort out the slow car parking and the slow ticketing, and offer more food choices (especially sandwiches), and you'll get 5 stars.

Brilliant loved it so much , had the freedom of the line pass so I did 2 round trips from Kidderminster to bridgnorth both on steam locos, again loved it definitely doing it again

Went on the Santa train day out and had a lovely time. The train station was all done up for Christmas with many photo opportunities for the children before getting on the Santa train. All the staff was so lovely and friendly, the steam trains were all in great condition and the kids loved their day out.

Had a lovely time with my little boy here for Christmas themed afternoon, jumped on the train, went to Arley and seen a pantomime and then back to the station with a present from Santa, I wasn't feeling Christmas just yet but this has definitely got me in the mood for it now 🌲

What a wonderful experience we had with our grandchildren they loved santa and all his helpers they all were so interactive with the our children it was magical for them,I must also give a big mention to all the railway staff the porters and the other ladies behind the scene they all were so kind and helpful to our family..thank you so much!!! For a lovely day.

Fabulous Pie Train experience, not bad weather but I would choose an earlier time if I went again, pitch dark on way back. Food much better than expected, lovely and hot. You get pie on way there and pudding on way back, had a passenger get a little fractious about this as he was only going in 1 direction and not read the details.
