Thorpe Camp Visitor Centre

Despite having limited days open and dependent on the time of year do put this place on your must go. In fact it's now one of my favourites. Easy to find and has lots of parking. The whole site has so much to offer and it is very large. All the volunteers are so helpful and knowledgeable. Tea and cake are all very nice and very reasonable prices. We spent most of the day there and the three kids were very happy to stay longer. It's one of their best days out that they all enjoyed. Special guest - mention was for the kids to handle the guns and the ride in the W Jeep. Well it certainly made my day. Thank you all very much and yes you will be seeing us regularly 😁👍

Absolutely loved it. Such a lot to see. Weather was terrible and I was struggling with my arthritis. They loaned me a mobility scooter so it was really accessible. Nice hot drink and really lovely volunteers. From the man who was on the reception to the tea room they were all fantastic. I would love to visit again.

Fantastic 40's weekend, all re-enacters of all ages taking part did a great job of being dressed for the part and performing the duties of their character. Very willing to demonstrate equipment/weapons on display, some fabulous old vehicles there today. My first visit to the museum, very impressed as lots to see, many interesting exhibits and photographs/educational information. Well worth a visit, reasonable entrance price, the Spitfire Cafe not to missed, clean toilets, all of the staff and volunteers are very friendly with plenty of smiles to greet you , making your visit feel very much appreciated.

Dropped in on spec to have a look around as we saw it was open and have to say, we weren't disappointed. A great attraction hidden away in the depths of bomber command country.

A hidden gem. It is a place which is hiding a lot of very interesting surprises with its theme as a working airfield during the second world war. They also hold display day's where people come with their stationary engines and military vehicles.

I had no idea this museum existed , we were driving by when the Electric Lightning caught my eye , it’s a fiver to get in whilst some people could think of it has small , their is a lot of local history to get through the volunteers go the extra mile to be super helpful also , if your passing & your interested in finding out some local RAF & WWII / Cold War history I highly recommend you drop in I found the section about POW’s of particular interest. A collection of classic cars & jeeps was also really nice to see.

A very interesting place to visit and much bigger than I expected it to be. Thorpe camp is packed full of interesting bits of information, and lots of personal stories from the people station RAF Woodhall Spa, with a nice cafe for a cup of Tea and cake
