Great Olde worlde pub, right on the banks of the Thames. The fish and chips were great. The place is line a rabbit warren, very atmospheric and has loads of charm.

Met with colleagues from work to celebrate an achievement at this pub however the evening turned out disgusting. We ordered our drinks and after a few sips before stepping out, after informing their staff member, we returned to our surprise that mine and my friend drinks were taken out. Spoke to the bartender about this issue hoping in an amichevole resolution but it was disappointing how rude , unprofessional and gaslighting hers and her supervisor approach was towards myself and my friend. Despite the lengthy explanation from the bouncer they promptly blamed us for their mistake. We were accused of leaving our drink unattended for less than 5 minutes despite having informed a staff member. The tone of language and dismissive behaviour I encountered is below the expected standards of costumer services. At no point there was intention to de-escalate or coming to understanding instead it was a constant mockery. Nevertheless, we spent our night elsewhere with few more rounds for our celebrations. It appears some venues lack class and don't intend to do business.
I suggest to enroll your staff in costumer services training and how to speak to people in a professional manner.

Service is good. I would suggest order drink 10 mins before next one with greene king app. Did not try the food because too expensive.

This pub offers a genuine slice of British pub culture, right in the city's heart. The drinks menu caters to all tastes, and the ambiance is perfect.

Found out about the [or one of] oldest pubs in England on a boat tour and had check it out.
Right on the river Thames, the views, food and great weather made this a treat.
I felt the tap offerings were a bit disappointing, I had the cider, it was very good.

A nice bar alongside Bankside. After dinner me and a friend decided to grab our last drink at this bar. They had a great selection of drinks at a good price. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

Great Sunday lunch! I had the Sunday roast, and my boyfriend went for the apple pie – both were absolutely delicious. The portions were generous, and the service was quick and efficient. The atmosphere was warm and traditionally British, making the experience even better. We paid £60 for the meal, including two beers, which felt reasonable for the quality. Would definitely come back!

This was what I would go to pub at London when we were staying at IBIS hotel just nearby. We loved coming there that was good atmosphere and beers was great 🥳
We had a dinner at the anchor and the food was good, but that could be more food for the price.

This place gets 5 stars for location. I love to take friends from outside of U.K here after strolling around Southbank, visiting the Tate etc as it’s in traditional English pub n a quirky, historical building, next door to Shakespeares Globe and they can also try traditional fish and chips. The food quality has gone down slightly since the last visit but it could have just been the day.

A long time classic local/tourist pub. Smack bang in a great location in the center of London and right by the river.
With seating both outside and in,
plus this a great spot on a summers evening to grab a cold drink when the trains are delayed.
