A very interesting museum, and interesting to learn about the dark past of the Clink Prison. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. The only negative is, it's not very big. I read everything as I found it interesting and it took me about a hour to get around. If you're with children, you probably be done within 10-15mins.

If you are in the Borough Market area, its a wet day or have an hour to spare and you are into gory social history, you will probably enjoy it. There are loads of gruesome and interesting facts, and some good

Wee arrived in the evening and were the only ones there. Good if you have 30-45 minutes. It's quite small but the space is well used and documented. Not scary, you can bring your children.

A great experience and lots of knowledge of the past. While not as big as I expected it was still worth the visit

Sad, overstimulating and badly in need of refurbishment. Not worth a visit, waste of time tourist trap.

Only one person before us when we arrived at 10.30 on Saturday, to be greeted by friendly and informative staff. We took our time reading the material and handling the exhibits (you can do so at your own risk), and spent a good hour or so taking it in. Interesting information (I now know where the word 'loo' may have originated) and a tactile experience. At £8 for adults we found it great value.

Brilliant lots of information and models that really bring everything to life. There was lots of small models of torture devices and it explains how they use them. 1 hr of fun for a great price.

We had a fantastic time at The Clink Prison Museum! My kids, ages 7 and 8, absolutely loved it. The museum is not only fascinating but also highly educational. The interactive exhibits and hands-on displays kept them engaged while they learned about the history of one of England’s oldest prisons. They were especially intrigued by the replica torture devices and the stories of real prisoners from centuries ago. The atmosphere is immersive, making history come alive in a way that’s both fun and informative. It’s a great spot for families looking for an educational yet entertaining experience. Highly recommend!

The idea of looking around a prison is a strange one, but this site is quite interesting, albeit a bit dim inside but this just adds to the atmosphere, stopped in on a Sunday to have a look around and price is very reasonable, and a free picture (online) at the end is a good momento, I wont give much away but needless to say there is a lot of history here and it is well worth a visit, and it makes you think what went wrong to make prisons the way they are now when these were far more lucrative.
