Very disappointed ordered haddock chips mushypeas/ gravy was not warm less fish more batter precooked fish because of closing fish was cold had to microwave it wasnt cooked fresh and more batter than haddock fish. Disappointed because of closing wasn't cooked fresh

Popped into Parkinsons when we visited Louth, and it's a great chippy! Everything was cooked to perfection and the service was spot on. It was so good, we went back the following day...and it was just as good as the previous day!
Staff are friendly and fast to serve, and there's no rush to get you fed and out.
If I lived in Louth I'd use Parkinsons as my main chippy. Thanks guys. Brilliant.

Food is good however we have been in numerous times and have had hair in our food on multiple occasions, i have noticed that the fryers do not wear a hat or hairnet. The staff are always stood around talking and the overall service is really slow. The front modern and looks fairly clean however ive also noticed they only clean with a wet cloth. And the restaurant area is dark and dingy it takes me back to old chip shops. Like i said great food just check for hairs!!!

Some of the best chips (with scraps if required) that you will get anywhere.
2 years since I wrote this review so maybe time for an update:
We visit family & friends in Louth a few times a year, coming down from Glasgow which is a bit of a trek. Every time we visit I must visit Parkinson's (often more than once). Not only are the chips some of the best you'll ever try, they are consistently great. When I find something good I tend to stick with it so I've also tried:
battered burger; gorgeous with really crisp batter,
bread rolls; fresh and tasty,
curry sauce; delicious,
mushy peas; spot on,
onion rings; crisp and tasty,
Never been disappointed. The prices are great and the staff are lovely.
If I were a fish eater the home made fish cakes look perfect. On one visit a friend was with me who had one and said they were gorgeous, seriously old school, home made, just the ticket. Another occasion my daughters boyfriend was with us and had the fish, said it was lovely and couldn't believe the portion size - he couldn't finish it.
I'm a bit of chip fan and have tried them from the south coast through to the highlands of Scotland and these are still my number 1.

Very good fish & chip shop, the best in Louth in my view. That's not especially difficult in fairness, but this place would hold its own against the best chippies anywhere.

Don't be the first customer in when they re-open at 4 pm as you will probably get lunchtime leftovers warmed up. Very disappointing !
UPDATE/ Here we are again 11 months later, we have just had some bad fish n chips from Parkinsons.
Just had the worst fish and chips ever from your shop, the fish tasted very fishy, the batter was hard and tough and the chips tasted stale. Not very happy at all.
