Lateinamerikanisches Restaurant in Nottingham

Beste Tapas in Nottingham erleben

Bar staff didn’t listen, tried to charge us when we had a voucher, made to feel uncomfortable until the penny dropped with her that it was a £25 voucher and although revs have my money, we were penalised by not being allowed to use it in happy hour either which is crazy. Really let down as we put plenty of money in the till over the years at Derby. Maybe the manager can confirm with my voucher brought in advance, you have my money, why can’t I spend it how I want to??? and the young lady who served us should listen to customers and clearly didn’t want to serve us so got someone else…

Was cold in there so the food didn't stay hot for long. It would have been nice otherwise.

Went as part of a work party for a birthday. Thursday evening so fairly quiet. Food took around half an hour to come out even though it was very quiet. Nachos are from a packet. Had Ropa de Vieja for main which was meant to come with plantain that they didn't have. Rice was bland and watery though the beef was not too bad. For a cuban place the food is mainly Tex-Mex and the few cuban dishes are far from the flavourful and vibrant food you would expect from cuban food. Atmosphere was good and the service was friendly but the food was meh at best.

Edit - responding the reply below, you use actual passion fruit as well, making your response about being sustainable completely hypocritical. This £9.95 drink comes with a PICTURE of passion fruit in it. It’s funny because it’s so bad. This Revs De Cuba is hit and miss. It can be great for music and atmosphere but don’t bother for food because the service has been consistently slow, especially when using the app. I could put up with the slow kitchen/bar service but having a sugar paper picture of the fruit that’s meant to be in the drink takes the mickey for £9.95.

The food isn't bad but it's nothing to shout about. We went with a 50% off food voucher because it's January. Without the voucher it wouldn't have been very good value for money. They also sat us on a table jammed right up to another table so it felt a bit like we were sitting with strangers. The food took about 40 minutes after ordering, which is fine but it would have been better if someone had informed us there was a wait in food.

Was told it would be faster for us to move down the bar away from the edge where I assume they were pouring table service drinks, just for the server to immediately serve the guy that was stood behind me as I moved. Didn't have food, and the drinks are always clean from draft, down point was that the rekorderlig was off, but that is no one's fault. Waiting time was long, but that is to be expected in a busy and popular bar. The staff were expecting in remembering who was next in line, not always perfect but that is also to be expected. Prices are on the top side of the range for Nottingham. But not extortionate. Atmosphere was good, a little too many hats and hoods for my style, but I won't begrudge people their aesthetic.

Had our work Christmas party here earlier in December (didn't have any part in planning it, so can't speak for the rates/arrangement process for that). There were quite a lot of us, so the bar was always busy, but the staff were friendly & helpful throughout. We had a buffet-style dinner, and the veggie/vegan food was all great. Decent beers, and tasty cocktails 🍻🍸
