Visited for the first time for Sunday lunch, great location & maybe once upon a time it was cosy but now it's not as atmospheric :( sat in an area that was a tad drafty. Service was friendly & the food was lovely

Restaurant was cold. There was a fire but not lit! Lighting the fire would have not only have warmed the room but also added to the ambience. Problems with water leaking in the reception area meant it was bit of a mess.

Spent 2 nights. That was enough. Very loud beeping sound from outside bedroom window (from kitchen beneath us?). Walls very thin. Odd doorbell sound when chef says food is ready- bizzarre. Very hot rooms. Food very average for the prices charged. Bench we were sat on was ridiculously high for the table. Hurt my back. Found a great pub 20min away- the Crown (great Sunday roast)

We were looking for a cozy hotel in the Cotswolds to escape the hustle of London, and this place was perfect. The grounds were beautiful, and the dinner was amazing. The rooms had a lovely countryside vibe and felt so comfortable. If you love horses, you'll love seeing them around here. Just a heads-up—you’ll need a car to get around, or you can book taxis in advance. The staff were super friendly, and we can’t wait to come back!

The staff are welcoming, the beds are cozy, and the rooms are clean and well-maintained. There's convenient parking right outside. The beer garden is delightful, especially during happy hour. The restaurant serves delicious food with excellent service. I highly recommend the Ragged Cot!

First time staying here. We came here just after Christmas. Lovely hotel and restaurant. We had food here the first night of stay and have to say it was really good food. It was very tasty and well presented. Hotel rooms are lovely decorated and comfy beds. It is not a room that you can't hear your neighbour rooms. We had on first night downstairs singing till gone 11.30. Not hotels fault but not very soundproofed, so if you like the quiet, hopefully you have better neighbours. Breakfast was very tasty again. I had scrambled eggs and toast, which were the best scrambled eggs. Hubby had full English, which he really enjoyed. Definitely stay again. The hotel staff are so lovely. All very welcoming and there for any needs.

I slept so well—the bed was super comfy with fresh, crisp sheets. The room was really clean, and the shower was amazing. Having a kettle and some tea in the room was a nice touch, especially for a quiet morning drink. Breakfast had tons of options, and the staff were super friendly and on point.!

I dined here yesterday evening, and it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The vibrant ambiance, cozy seating, and elegant design created a welcoming vibe. The service was relaxed, not intrusive, which I appreciated, and the dishes were served promptly.

Had a fabulous Boxing day 3 course meal which was a very good price. The meal was presented in an exceptional way and tasted lovely. Attention to detail which made the experience a day to remember as it was a Birthday meal. Front of house staff excellent made to feel special. Ingredients used was of high standard and cooked to perfection. Definitely reccomend will be eating here again. Plenty of carparking, easy to find.

Came here Sunday night, was not impressed but the trying to hard to be pretentious menu so glad we were given a Sunday menu because I thought it would be hard to screw a roast but a screwing was achieved. The veg was borderline cooked. There’s al dente and there’s raw… it was raw. Good portion of beef and a good sized (although dry and somewhat stale) Yorkie, thought it could be saved by a pudding. I was wrong again, not even a chocolate option so went without. We asked for a floater coffee instead to which we were told “we don’t have those.” I don’t understand how you don’t have coffee and cream but the lady serving us obviously didn’t know what it was as there was no option for it on the coffee machine. We finally settled for tea, never the less we paid the bill, left and simultaneously looked at each other and said we would not come back.

This restaurant has a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and the staff are attentive and friendly. It gets busy on weekends, but the menu offers a great variety, including some excellent specials. We had three courses each and had a relaxing, enjoyable evening.

Just outside Minchinhampton, this spot is perfect no matter the season.
In winter, the open fires create a cozy atmosphere, while the gardens are ideal for relaxing in the summer.
Great for drinks, lunch, dinner, or a delicious Sunday roast. It’s dog-friendly, has tasty food, a welcoming vibe, and a solid drink selection.

I absolutely love this place! It’s my go-to pub for both meals and drinks. The food is always outstanding, especially the goat cheese starter. They’re so accommodating, whether it’s for my 1-year-old nephew or my dogs. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
