Another excellent stay at the Landsbury, Alison and Gareth are lovely hosts make you welcome and always have a bit chat with guests over the delicious breakfast, no complaints whatsoever 10/10

Myself and Paul enjoyed our stay at the Lansbury, this was the second time staying here, beautiful clean and tidy rooms and a lovely welcome, breakfast was lovely and saw us through to our evening meal out, loads to do in Whitby we will definitely be back but probably in another couple of years, thanks to Alison & Garath.

A lovely warm welcome very enjoyable experience.

Just had a 3 night stay here and have to say the place is spotlessly clean,facilities in room are fab they provide everything you need and more ,lovely hosting by Alison and fabulous breakfast by Gareth (best I've had in a guest house in whitby) highly recommend to anyone

This B&B and it's hosts are the best of the best...We have stayed in many places all over the world and found the hospitality, cleanliness and convenient location to be excellent. We might not be back soon, but will certainly recommend it to everyone of our friends and family that intend to venture 'up North'. Forgot to pack my favourite belt, never even missed it. Came home today to find it on my kitchen table. Gareth and Alison had posted it to me. Left a review recently saying how lovely they are. Thanks both, just as I said ‘ fine hosts’

Our 2nd stay at the Lansbury and it's as good as we remembered. Alison and Garath are really warm and welcoming and their guest house is spotlessly clean and tidy. The king size bed was lovely and comfy and the sleep quality is superb as there are no banging doors. Lovely toiletries in the bathroom and the quality of ingredients and service at breakfast is 5*. We will be visiting again, thanks for looking after us once again Michelle & Matt

Had a wonderful 5 days here. The rooms are beautiful and clean and the breakfast first class. Had a super King size bed with walk in shower. The hosts a great and nothing is too much trouble. Will return in the future for sure.

We enjoyed a wonderful weekend stay at the Lansbury. It's clean, safe, pretty and hospitable. Well organised system for ordering freshly cooked breakfasts, and social distancing. Thanks for your kindness and efficient help when the fire alarm set off, opps I think a combination of warm weather and hairdrying was the culprit. We would recommend this place for a comfortable break away. Thanks again x

Lovely place to stay .Gareth and Alison are great hosts.We stayed for 4 nights which we both really enjoyed .great place to stay near the beach .Breakfast was lovely ,nicely presented .Rooms are very clean and spotless .We will be returning in the near future .

If like us you normally trawl through reviews before settling on where to stay then STOP now, this is a simply superb place to stay.
From the warm welcome until your departure Garath and Alison make you feel more like house guests and family than merely paying customers.
We were in room 8 an attic room and it was lovely, sometime attic rooms can feel a little cramped but at 6ft 2 and 'large' I never even noticed. There is plenty of clothing space and the bathroom was roomy too.
Well decorated from top to bottom, there are little interesting objects and cracking pictures throughout.
The choice at breakfast was very good and the food lovely. Garath will even accommodate slight changes to the written menu too.
TIP: DO NOT FOLLOW NATIVE SAT NAV USE ST HILDA'S CHURCH as destination and The Lansbury is just down from there, otherwise you go through some pretty narrow streets.

We stayed here for a couple of nights and really enjoyed our stay. We received a very friendly welcome and our room was clean and very comfortable. Good produce used for the breakfast, plenty of choice. Would highly recommend.

Stayed 4-5 August. Room was lovely, bed very comfy, and the shower was a good awake up call, to go and have a lovely breakfast, would stay there again.

Lovely place to stay Alison and Garath were really welcoming the room was lovely and clean the bed was very comfortable there was tea making facilities and an hair dryer and the breakfast was amazing would I stay here again yes yes yes.

Spotlessly clean really well maintained. Lovely friendly owners and breakfast was great. Only bum note didnt listen properly to instructions about using the parking permit and got fined on the car. Put your car reg on the form if you go . Love Whitby.
