I ordered a burger, and was told that they were unable to add cheese, sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, or anything else. I was served a thin, crispy, dry, and overly cooked burger patty between a bun, all for the affordable price of 14£. Absolutely the worst quality of food that I’ve received at that price point. There was no salt, and little flavor to the burger. The fries which accompanied it were fine, but the coleslaw was perhaps the worst part of the whole meal. It was served with warm, almost hot mayonnaise, and tasted as if one or more of the ingredients had gone bad prior to serving. I found it unedible after one bite.

When we arrived at 8pm, we were told that the kitchen had already closed at 7.30pm (the place were supposed to close at 10pm). Thanks for nothing.

Great service, but not the prettiest pub I've been at, nor the best pub food I've had. It was very standard. For me to give it more starts, I would have liked it to be more cozy, less white, less plain - and the food could have been more interesting. Pies are just best when you get the whole pie, and not just a piece cut from a big tray made sometime earlier on the day. Wasn't dog friendly, although I had read from other review pages online that they were.

A lovely local pub with incredible food and fine hospitality. The staff made us feel very welcome and enjoyed some fun chat with me and my family. The food was delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed the steak pie followed by the banoffee tart. I would highly recommend this place for food and a good time.

Lovely food, nice atmosphere and a great pint, however the two barman are devoid of souls, I actually thought they were autistic but it turns out they just have absolutely zero personality, it actually freaked me out a bit how robotic they were. Otherwise would recommend 👍

Really cozy, welcoming pub, there is a proper dining room however we did not see this. Took a chance and popped in after a long day's work and walking and wasn't disappointed. The staff were very welcoming and gave us a comfy table in the bar. They provided a really good gluten free menu with lots of good options available. We had the chicken curry with rice and chips and a side of veg. It's good old fashioned hearty pub grub and hit the spot perfectly, exactly what we needed. As well as the GF menu they had a selection of GF beers available, even a GF beer on tap! Will be returning for sure!

Such a lovely experience! They accomodated a family dinner party of 5, on short notice, on the last day of 2023. The place was festive, warm, cosy and welcoming. The food was delicious, staff service was as good as it gets. The desserts were heavenly. We would definitely revisit on our next trip to Scotland. Thanks to the entire team and Happy New Year! Special thanks for giving the kids extra naan bread. 😍
