This was our first visit, but will certainly not be our last. A lovely warm welcome when we arrived, before we were presented with the well thought through limited menu. We chose the lamb shish kebabs, which were quite delicious.

Waited an hour for cold food and not much of it. Extremely disappointed considering the price of the food. Vegetarian food was also not marked clearly which is a personal pet peeve. Over all would not recommend at all.

Lovely place to eat. Tables well space and roomy with a lovely view over outside eating area ( would be amazing to sit out in good weather). Food and service were both great. First but not last visit.

Such a fabulous place, really friendly staff, excellent service and food. We loved it and felt very welcomed. We stayed in a cottage just down the road so the Ardentinney immediately became our regular. I especially liked the fact they had a painting of my husband on the wall 😂 The chips are to die for. Highly recommended.

Great service, great food (try the chips!) great drinks. (Orchard pig on draft and ask for the Espresso Martini!) Such a friendly place, with views over the loch. The foot drying service when we paddled in from the Loch was above and beyond. I genuinely wish I had an "The Ardentinny" close to my own house! Going back this evening for drinks but will be back a few times prior to heading home.

We went for lunch today. Food was absolutely delicious. A seafood/fish restaurant worthy of five stars. The service was exceptional and a real foodie find in the area. Dogs are welcome in the bar area which was not a second class option but a very pleasant option. Will definitely return.

Lovely restaurant but sadly not well reachable by public transport. Staff was super friendly and the food was amazing. Great view on the terrace.

2024: Back again to this fantastic pub/restaurant. A warm welcome from Allegra; I couldn't believe she recognised me 1 year later! The food is excellent and the staff are friendly. Seb needs to start winning awards; he produces delicious dishes with flavorful sauces. I was served the best fish and chips I have ever had. Other highlights were the oysters, the venison, the Thai mussels, the mackerel, the padron peppers... Great wine once again. 2023: We were so lucky to have this place on our doorstep when we stayed in Ardentinny. The food is excellent and the staff were very friendly. Really good wine list. I loved the oysters, fish & chips, mussels, venison, beef... There is a great terrace overlooking Loch Long and the interior rooms have been tastefully decorated. If you are in the area, make an effort to visit The Ardentinny. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

Amazing lunch, the wood pigeon was fantastic for starter and the hake main course was genuinely one of the best plates of food I’ve ever had. The service was friendly and attentive. Can’t recommend this place enough! Thank you!

We visited The Ardentinny while on a weeks away in Dunoon. The menu was limited with only one vegetarian option. One of our party, a 13 year old didn't like any of the options on the main and the staff were happy to accommodate and did the starter steak option as a main. No specials on the board. Starters - We ordered bread for the table to start, this never came and was still on the bill. It was removed once we advised it wasn't provided. Mains - The steak arrived, It was disappointing that this didn't come with any greens just steak and chip. when the bill arrived this cost £30.00 (more than anything else in the menu) The fish and chips also didn't come with any greens or salad, just fish and chips with sauce. Cod and muscles was lovely, my husband really enjoyed this. This can with just abit of veg. The fish, chips and steak were cooked well and tasted lovely. The vegi pasta option i had was on the cold side, it tasted just ok. some of the pasta wasn't cooked correctly and was stuck together. Dessert- We didn't bother with dessert as there was only one option. Location- The location is brilliant and the terrace is perfect if you are looking for somewhere for an afternoon drink. Atmosphere - The main restaurant had more of a cafe or bistro feel to it. It was cold, i didn't take off my jacket the whole time. We sat under the skylight which when i looked up was full of cobwebs in the corners. Staff - Very friendly and polite. casually dressed, baggy jeans and none matching tops, they didn't look like staff. Over all this place could be great but feels like they are trying too hard on the menu and prices for what you get, the decor and atmosphere.

Absolutely stunning little find! The food is out of this world but exceptionally priced given the quality of the food. The staff are friendly and attentive and the views from the deck are perfect!

Absolutely gorgeous setting looking over the loch. Vegetarian option very limited but they were more than happy to provide me with an alternative. Really friendly and helpful service and dog friendly. The cauliflower dish I had was fantastic as was my husbands beef cheek. The cheesecake was not as good but overall a brilliant lunch and very highly recommended.

Beautiful little bar and restaurant, located only a couple hours drive from the south of Glasgow. Wonderful service by the team and the food was fresh and delicious. Great view of the Loch from where we sat also. Great day out and even better was the bill. Certainly expected to pay double of what was presented. Thank you all for a cracking experience.

What a beautiful place filled with beautiful people. This is the biggest gem in Scotland! The two boys behind the bar are so welcoming and charming! The food is outstanding and fresh. Everything about The Ardentinny is heaven. Can’t wait to come back (most likely this evening)!

Went in for lunch today (27/6/24) Absolutely first class in every way. Fish and chips are the best we’ve ever tasted and the staff are so lovely,friendly and chatty…We’d definitely recommend a visit because you certainly won’t be disappointed.
