Museum | Desio | Lombardia | Italy
The "Monumento ai Caduti per la Libertà" in Desio, a city in the province of Monza and Brianza in Lombardy, Italy, is a significant monument dedicated to the victims of World War II. Located in the Parco della Resistenza, it was inaugurated in 1950. The monument consists of an obelisk made of red granite, topped by a bronze sculpture of a soldier. Inscriptions at the base of the obelisk commemorate the fallen. Every year on November 4th, the day of the armistice agreement, memorial ceremonies are held here, with wreaths laid to honor the fallen.
