Food was ok but portions were too small. No bread on the table (despite cover charge). No wine tasting prior to serving.

Ci siamo fermati per caso. Bella sorpresa. Si mangia bene e sono veloci. Una sola nota "stonata" una del servizio ai tavoli non era molto cortese con chi chiedeva di sedersi. Il posto merita. Consigliato!!!

Posizione ottima, in zona pedonale e non caotica. Ottimo il tagliere di salumi e formaggi. Locale piccolo ma accogliente e con disponibilità di tavoli all'esterno.

It's okay. If there isn't seating across the piazza, at Santa Zita, this is a less interesting substitute. The service was friendly and fast. The crostine were bland; they had canned pears and walnuts straight out of a bag (not candied, not toasted, not salted). I could have put it together, at home, in 2 minutes, using a toaster and a butter knife.... like an afterschool snack, for kids. Most weekend afternoons, there's some sort of plesant, live music. It's in a charming location, though.

Arrivés sans réservation, la serveuse nous a dit de revenir en nous prometant de garder une table ce qu'elle a fait , le poulpe et les raviolis étaient délicieux, le tiramisu onctueux , les serveuses très agréables, une bonne soirée dans Lucca plus calme .

Friendly, prompt service in a great position on the terrace looking at San Frediano. We only had bruchetta and spritz but really enjoyed the experience. Clean toilets too.

Les raviolis bolognese étaient délicieux ! Ambiance authentique avec des napes en cuire tres originale. Le personnel adorable :-) tres sympa pour dej en milieu de la promenade

Pros: open for lunch after 15, rather fast cooking, pasta was ok

I had to ask very politely for my 14 year old daughter to go to the bathroom as an emergency….and the girls at the desk said no 😞

A charming place for a bistro style Aperitivo and light snack. Cheerful and friendly, simple, quality food at affordable prices. Loved it. The bread was traditional and the selection of charcuterie was delicious.

E' stato un piacere cenare presso questo locale, dove ci ha riportato indietro nel tempo. si respira l'aria di una volta dove entravi e l'ambiente ti avvolgeva come una casa famigliare con i profumi della tradizione. Piatti squisiti, personale gentile, il proprietario ti accoglie all'ingresso, proprio come l'oste dei tempi lontani nelle storie del Manzoni. Piatti piu' che squisiti, rigorosamente fatti a mano dagli antipasti ai dolci....pure il vino ottimo. lo consiglio

Consigliato a chi si vuole godere un pranzo o aperitivo evitando la più affollata Piazza dell'Anfiteatro. Molto buoni i tordelli con ragù ma devo dire che i Crostoni con zola, noci e pere sono su un altro livello <3 Ottima carta dei vini, rapporto qualità prezzo buono calcolando che si è comunque in centro città.
Personale molto alla mano ; molto apprezzato il fatto che la ragazza la quale prender le ordinazioni e aiuta nel servizio stia studiando per migliorare l'inglese . Bravi !! Saluti dal cliente di Bergamo che aspetta la ristampa delle magliette ;)

Nice place to stop for lunch. Food is slightly different from all the other restaurants which is nice (brown granary bread in the basket). Got a caprese salad, described as cheese, tomato and basil. 1 leaf of basil is a garnish, not an ingredient. We were nearly finished eating and the waitress came and asked us if we were done, I said I was still eating and had bread in my hand but she cleared away the plates anyway. Wasn't busy, table wasn't needed. Lost points for that.

Locanda semplice con piatti della tradizione Toscana.
Tavoli all'aperto nella piazza e interni.
Abbiamo provato le insalatone e siamo rimasti soddisfatti.
