House and grounds are lovely, lots of work going on to improve access at the moment. Pond Lake car park now has to be paid for, whereas previously it was free.

I used to love this place and was happy to spend a couple of hours with my family.
They started charging for parking which I feel a bit unhappy about.

Great place, a farm that's great for kids, wide open spaces to play games, lively walks, ducks and swans to feed, walled gardens, nice cafe and shop

The Brithish Taj Mahal, with a farm. Great place to spend a few hours, the kids really enjoyed the farm and park. The house is worth a look around. Recommended for a nice day out. We didn't see the Polar Bears or Penguins but we did see a few Dodo's fly past.

We love Temple Newsam, it’s a great place to visit and the Northern Lights during Christmas time are a wonderful event. The house and gardens are worth a visit any season, there is so much to see, from flowering rhododendrons in May to beautiful red, green and yellow colours in autumn!
There is a working farm and playgrounds and Go Apes next door… I can’t recommend it enough!

A must see in Leeds - excellent upkeep and intriguing original furnitures and decorations.
They also do brilliant guided tours.
A gem in Leeds.

Great place.
The house seems smaller that usual on the outside, but my word. There is so many rooms. The information is very well done here too. Not overwhelming; they have picked three items they like from the room and talk about that.
I feel like there should have been more of a focus on the history of the house rather than 3 random family member though. There is also some communist stuff thrown in there, but what do you expect this place being owned by the council. Was very funny to see the panel about anti-empire being ignored by everybody.
For example, the reason why its called temple is never explained, nor what Newsam. The only way I found out was by asking. Poor curation information. However the staff were very friendly.
The grounds are nothing special. Just a big open field, and not a very well kept path.
Sadly there were ugly metal barriers all around the outside of the house; spoiling it a bit.
The farm is a nice extra, but again nothing special.
Free parking on the road nearby.

Upon arrival to this so called "temple" I was immediately greeted by a barbaric group of goons and goonets, this was supposed to be a calm day out yet I left the experience disappointed and distraught, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. 1 star

Took my 2 grand daughters to tea rooms, got 3 hiy chocolates & 2 chick decorated biscuits it cost me £18 !!! The biscuits were disgusting they didnt eat them . Mentioned it to 1 of the staff members and got no response!! Disgusting prices for the biscuits definitely will not spend another penny in there
