The "Villaggio degli Gnomi" in Sappada is a unique theme park designed specifically for children. Located in the Parco Daini area, the park offers eight custom-made cottages that open up a world of imagination for the young visitors. Each of these cottages houses special tracks and towers designed for a unique playing experience with a special wooden ball. Children can roll the ball through different courses, discovering hidden traps and secret pathways along the way. A game sheet guides them by presenting tasks that require connecting letters and numbers both inside and outside the cottages.
In addition to the Gnome Village, the park offers other activities for families. For example, there is a treasure hunt called "Caccia al Tesoro Sappark e Sappada Antica," where participants must answer various questions and explore locations in and around Sappada. For young adventurers, there is the challenge "Plodar Perkpui Hero," where specific points on a map need to be found and marked. Visitors can also interact with "Gnoma Ortica," a figure hidden in a tree trunk that provides clues to discovering a magical word. "Gnomo Paul" also invites children to play with their magical ball and explore the unpredictable paths it takes.
The park was created after the devastating Tempesta Vaia to revitalize the region and provide a special attraction for children. The project was initiated by young locals and realized with the support of Confindustria Giovani FVG and the municipality of Sappada. The proceeds from the sale of the game kits are donated to charitable causes, especially cancer research.
The "Villaggio degli Gnomi" not only offers an imaginative playing experience for children but also contributes to the promotion of the region and charitable causes.
