The Ethnographic Center of Sauris, also known as "Haus van der Zahre", is located in a historic building that reflects the traditional architecture of the region. Originally used as a stable and hayloft, the building has been carefully restored to preserve its original features while incorporating modern functions. The exterior walls are made of larch wood using block construction techniques, while the interior spaces are equipped with wooden beams and supports. A particular feature is the sliding windows on the upper floor, which allowed for optimal ventilation for hay and feed storage.
